Collaborate on a private project

Verified PixelRifts accounts can share a cloud project without sharing passwords, passkeys, or device sessions.

Roles

• Owner: edits the draft and controls collaborators, publishing, rollback, public submission, and private ownership handoff.
• Editor: reads and saves the shared draft. A stale revision is rejected if another editor saved first.
• Viewer: reads the draft and version history. Local changes are not uploaded.

An owner adds or updates a collaborator using that account's public handle in Workshop's Publish panel. A project can have at most 20 collaborators. Owners can remove collaborators; collaborators can leave a project themselves.

This is optimistic shared-draft editing, not live co-editing. PixelRifts does not yet show presence or cursors and does not merge simultaneous changes. Reload the latest draft after a revision conflict.

Hand off ownership

Only an unpublished private draft can be handed off. Enter the new owner's verified handle and create an offer. The target sees an incoming handoff in Workshop and must accept within seven days. Until acceptance, ownership does not change.

After acceptance, the target becomes owner and the former owner remains an editor. Any published immutable version disables handoff because public attribution, moderation evidence, and future payout/legal responsibilities need a separate approved transfer workflow.
